KINGS Worthy Church and Village Fete may not go ahead this year unless someone steps forward as organiser on behalf of St Mary’s Church.
The Worthys parish magazine posted on Facebook: “Although there are volunteers willing to help, sadly no one from St Mary’s is able to lead the preparation and organisation needed for the event.
“The role needs someone who has sufficient time, energy and organisational skills. However, there is lots of information previous organisers could pass and a willing team of volunteers to help on the day.”
“We know how much the fete means to people and the event raises funds for good causes as well as St Mary’s. We really hope someone or a small group of people may be willing to step forward and take this on.”
Anyone interested in taking over organisation of the May event should contact administrator@worthyparishes.org.uk.
