Upper sixth formers at St Swithun’s in Winchester are celebrating receiving offers to study at Oxford or Cambridge universities following their successful applications last autumn.
A total of 10 per cent of students and alumnae are now hoping to take up their places on a range of courses including physics, history & economics, PPE, music, linguistics, medicine and HSPS respectively.
Offers have also been received by St Swithun’s A level students to study competitive courses at other top UK and international universities.

Headmistress Jane Gandee said: "We are thrilled to see so many of our students have received conditional offers from the prestigious universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
"This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of both our students and our faculty and we could not be prouder.
"However, this is not the sole measure of their success. What truly matters is the growth and development all our students have undergone during their time with us and the impact they will go on to make in the world.”
