Hampshire Fare have held a special dinner hosted by Quob Park Estate to launch the Ultimate Hampshire Hamper Competition in aid of the Murray Parish Trust.
The Wishing Hare Competition will run for ten months with the ultimate Hampshire hamper heaped full of produce and experiences as a prize.
Entrants have to guess how many tiles have been used to decorate the Wishing Hare, owned by David and Nadine Collinson and donate £5 per guess to the Murray Parish Trust.
Many Hampshire Fare members have already donated items to the hamper, such as bottles of Hampshire fizz, including a bottle from Quob Park, cider, gin, apple juices, rum, dinner for two voucher, brownies, shortbreads and artisan soaps.
Tracy Nash, Hampshire Fare commercial manager said: “This is the first time Hampshire Fare has partnered with a charity to work on a long term fundraising project. However, we think the timing is right to support an organisation driving forward children’s healthcare across the region by supporting projects at Southampton Children’s Hospital which advance children’s healthcare beyond what is possible through NHS funding.”

David Collinson, the Murray Parish Trust trustee, said: “It was a privilege to attend the launch of Hampshire Fare’s Wishing Hare Competition at Quob Park Estate. We had a fabulous evening, benefitting from the incredible generosity of Rob Terry and the Quob Park Estate team. At the Murray Parish Trust we are incredibly grateful to both Hampshire Fare and the Quob Park Estate for supporting our vital work to help critically ill children in the south of England."
Rob Terry, founder and chairman of Quob Park Estate, said: “We were pleased to show our support for this fundraising initiative between Hampshire Fare and the Murray Parish Trust by hosting this special evening. Like the other businesses at the dinner, we consider it very important to support our local communities, and what is more important than the health and welfare of our children?
“As a thank you to those attending the Wishing Hare Competition’s launch event, we gave everyone a month’s free membership of Quob Park’s Great Cellar Club. In addition, should anyone sign up for an annual membership, we have agreed to donate the annual membership fee to the Murray Parish Trust as part of this fundraising campaign!”
