A CITY centre par park will close for the construction of a new GP surgery at the start of March.
Upper Brook Street Car Park will close permanently on March 6, to make way for the new St Clements' practice.
Nearby residents and businesses recently received a letter from Winchester City Council, informing them of the start date.

The nearest off-road car park is at the Brooks Shopping Centre.
The city council has been working for more than five years to relocate the current surgery from Tanner Street.
Last month the Chronicle reported that Assura had told the council that unless it stumped up £100,000 for work to the public realm the scheme may be in danger.
The council agreed to make the payment. It will pay for new pavements and a drop-off point.
