A THEME park in Hampshire has won a top accolade - for having some of the best loos in the country.
Paultons Park in Ower has been awarded diamond and platinum grades at the 2022 Loo of the Year Awards.
It came first in the ‘National Water and Theme Park’ category and also in the ‘UK Market Sector Award’ in the leisure sector.
In addition, the in-house team was awarded ‘Washroom Cleaner of the Year’.
James Mancey, operations director at Paultons Park, said: “This year’s wins are a huge acknowledgement to the hard work our team put in every day to ensure our facilities are of an immaculate standard.
"A day out at Paultons is remembered for the attention to detail throughout the park, from the state-of-the-art rides to the bathroom facilities.
"We’re looking forward to reopening for February half-term and seeing our guests enjoying everything the park has to offer.”
The Loo of the Year awards and associated ‘Washroom Cleaner of the Year’ awards for cleaning staff have recognised the best washrooms in Britain since 1987.
Paultons Park achieved nine diamond, platinum and platinum plus grades at this year’s awards, placing the park in the ‘Champions League’. This placement is presented to organisations that have been awarded with five or more Platinum or Diamond grades.
Situated in the New Forest National Park, Paultons Park was recently awarded a VisitEngland Visitor Attraction Gold Accolade which recognises the outstanding visitor experience and quality offered by the attraction.
The 140-acre attraction, which is also home to Peppa Pig World, has also been recognised as one of the world’s leading attractions by TripAdvisor, holding the title as the UK’s best-rated amusement park for an unbeaten five years in a row.
Paultons Park reopens for the 2023 season on February 11. Tickets start from £41.75 for advance single bookings and children under 1m go free.
All tickets must be prebooked via the Paultons Park website paultonspark.co.uk/tickets/
