A NEW exhibition tracing the collaborative relationship between the University of Winchester and an award-winning architecture firm is currently on display.

The exhibition, entitled Building Together, traces the 20-year collaborative relationship between the university and Design Engine Architects – a relationship that has developed and evolved throughout that period and continues to flourish.

The creative relationship began with a new masterplan and went on to produce a range of new and refurbished buildings, from the John Stripe Lecture Theatre (completed in 2005) through to the landmark West Downs Centre (completed in 2021).

As the University of Winchester has progressed from its beginnings as King Alfred College, Design Engine Architects have worked hand in hand with the client team to deliver the vision of a university campus focused on learning and teaching excellence, sustainability and wellbeing.

With two decades of drawings, photographs and models, the exhibition takes attendees on the journey of building a university.
