THREE men have been arrested from Winchester on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

They were arrested after officers found suspected drugs in a vehicle and a property.

According to police, the suspected drugs were found after a vehicle was stopped on St Cross Road.

A spokesperson said: “The occupants [of the vehicle] were found in possession of substantial amount of suspected Class B drugs. The driver and two passengers were arrested for possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and transported to custody.

“A search was then conducted by the High Harm Team at a property on Southgate Street and a further substantial amount of Class B drugs was located.”

All three males have been bailed until a later date.

The enforcement action was part of Operation Venom by Winchester High Harm Team.

Police said officers have been conducting proactive policing patrols to combat the County Lines drug dealing within the Winchester district.

Officers have also detained a male on Victoria Road after he was found in possession of suspected Class A drugs. This incident is still being investigated by the team.
