A MAJOR road near Wickham remains closed in both directions following a road incident.
The A32 near Wickham is closed in both directions between B2177 Southwick Road/Bridge Street and Heath Road.
Following the incident, where a vehicle was overturned due to black ice, Fareham Police posted on Facebook this morning (January 18): "Please be careful today & allow extra time to get to your destination. The roads are icy and we have attended some road traffic incidents overnight.
"One was an experienced driver who had overturned their car due to not seeing black ice. Our little van even grew icicles overnight!
“It is better to get there a few minutes later, than not get there at all.”
The police commented on the post to add: "The driver was very lucky and walked away with no injuries."
