AN OXFORDSHIRE cancer charity is bringing its 10K walking event to Hampshire for the first time in May.
Against Breast Cancer’s event, Breast Walk Ever, will come to Hampshire on Sunday, May 7.
With full and half marathon options as well as a 10K walk, Breast Walk Ever Hampshire will have plenty of choice for anyone looking for a local walking challenge.
The routes, all starting together just outside of Winchester, follow waymarked trails including the Clarendon, Itchen and Pilgrims Way.
All three walks give the chance to follow in the footsteps of King Charles II following his defeat to Cromwell in 1651, on the ancient Monarch’s Way too.

Event manager at Against Breast Cancer Richard Martin said: “We are delighted to offer a Breast Walk Ever event in Hampshire.
“To have an event close to where our research takes place has been a long-standing ambition and one we cannot wait to fulfil.
“The routes look stunning, it’s a great chance to get out in the fresh air with family and friends to make a real difference.”
Entry fees for the event range from £12 to £28 depending on distance, with an early bird offer available to teams of four who will receive a 20 per cent discount when signing up before the end of January.
Participating walkers can expect well-stocked supply stations, famously cheerful marshals, and a complimentary massage at the finish line to go with their hard-earned medal.

There will also be free parking at the event HQ in Hursley too.
All walkers are asked to raise funds with an initial target of £75.
Against Breast Cancer’s Breast Walk Ever Oxfordshire was first started in 2014, with walkers raising more than £100,000 over the years towards research into secondary spread breast cancer.
More than 370 men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, as well as 55,000 women.
Breast cancer is statistically the most common form of cancer in the UK.
Against Breast Cancer funds vital research into secondary spread of the disease, the main cause of breast cancer related deaths.
