The Romsey Neighbourhood Team told people on Facebook to “stay safe and warm” with officers layering up in the cold weather to improve the safety of the area in the run-up to Christmas.
Residents thanked the officers for braving the cold and for the update on their work in comments on the post.
Trixie Perry commented: "Definitely good for us to know we're being looked after. The police were always visible when I was young and it wasn't unusual to see a bobby on the beat. Good to know you're doing the rounds, it's needed now more than ever. Thank you."
