A WINCHESTER dance charity in collaboration with a community centre is running a free Christmas fair, showcasing local businesses and performers.

For the second year running Unit 12, a community and arts facility in Winnall, will be transformed into a festive scene with food, dance, gifts and Father Christmas himself making an appearance at Move Momentum’s Christmas Fair.

The event, on Sunday, December 11, will run from 11am-2.30pm with a mini-Christmas market featuring food and drink from Munch Café and a ‘Christmas Swapmass’ brought by I Need a Whisk. The idea of the swap shop is to allow visitors to find new decorations in a more sustainable way.

Hampshire Chronicle:

Performance from Move Momentum dancers and guest stars are set to take place. The charity, founded in 2016, aims to provide accessible dance classes to three main groups: the over 65s, wheelchair users and young people.

CEO of Move Momentum, Amanda Watkinson, said: “It’s time for our Christmas fair and we couldn’t be more excited! It’s always a fabulous event and a wonderful opportunity to get the Move Momentum family together - we look forward to seeing you there. We’re still looking for volunteers and tombola prizes, so do get in touch if you are able to help.”
