THE streets of Winchester were lit up by a parade of colourful lanterns.
There was fun for all the family as Winchester Cathedral's popular winter event returned on Friday, November 18.
The event took place on the opening day of the Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market.

People were encouraged to make their own lanterns, see the displays inside the cathedral, and join a fun family parade starting from the Cathedral.
The parade ended with a speech from The Very Revd, Catherine Ogle, Dean of Winchester where Amanda Troughton was crowned winner of the best lantern.
