A ROMSEY security company has secured a £4.7m contract with the Ministry of Defence.

Roke, based in Old Salisbury Lane, will be providing the Army with Project BESTLA.

This will provide remote observation, surveillance and radio frequency emission collection systems for the British Army’s Land Warfare Centre (LWC).

This service will provide enhanced support to LWC’s Observer Mentors in their training assessment and feedback. Project BESTLA can be used wherever the British Army trains around the world.

The contract has a value of £4.698m for the initial three years of service with options to extend for a further two years.
