A COLLEGE welcomed students to its 183-hectare countryside campus for an open event exploring the facilities and courses on offer.
Students could sign up for subject-specific tours on Saturday, November 12 at Sparsholt Campus and University Centre Sparsholt. The event was the educational venue’s second open day of the academic year.
The tours allowed pupils to see inside Sparsholt’s industry-standard facilities including the brand new £2.5m Animal Health and Welfare Research Centre, which was opened earlier in November by HRH The Princess Royal.

The centre has had new arrivals recently including Vulturine Guineafowl chicks, Porcupines and Pademelon.
The campus offers T Levels in Agriculture, Land Management and Production from September 2023 including Trees and Woodland, Ornamental Horticulture, Crop Production, Livestock Production and Land Based Engineering. Before introducing Animal Care and Management including Animal Care and Management and Equine Care and Management in 2024.
Principal and CEO of Sparsholt College Group, Julie Milburn, said ahead of the event: “Our subject-specific tours give students a fantastic glimpse into what life is like as a Sparsholt student and what exciting new facilities we have planned on campus for T Levels.”
