A NEW route has been announced for the Romsey Winter Carnival and Lantern Parade.
The town will illuminate the night sky on November 26 as hundreds of residents take to the streets to officially kickstart the festive season.
However, those wishing to join the lantern parade this year have been asked to gather in Newton Lane Car Park rather than the usual spot at Crosfield Hall.

Starting shortly after 6pm, the procession will then turn left up Bell Street and complete a full loop, passing through The Hundred, Palmerston Street, and Broadwater Road.
It will culminate with the Christmas lights switch-on event at 6.30pm.
Rolling road closures will be in place from 6pm and lantern kits are available from The Star Inn for £7.50.
The festivities will also include music, dancing, floats, and much more.
