A WALTHAM Chase Post office has re-opened at a new location after closing a year ago.
The Post Office, formerly occupied at the Premier, Winchester Road has opened its doors at Waltham Chase Village Stores, Winchester Road.
The Post Office now offers 60 hours of Post Office service a week, while restoring services to the community and will be open Monday to Saturday from 8am until 6pm.
Graham Brander, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said: “We are delighted to have restored a Post Office to this area as we know how important a Post Office is to a community. The long opening hours will make it very handy to visit.”
There is also a car park outside the premises.
In a previous story, residents of the village told the Chronicle how important the Post Office was for the local community throughout lockdown.
Waltham Chase resident, Denis Findley said: “When we went into lockdown one Adrian and his small team were a true lifeline to the Waltham Chase community and were applauded for their efforts."
