Police in Winchester will be working with the BID to help businesses to prevent shop thefts.
This comes after a recent increase in shoplifting across the city centre.
It will culminate in a Safer Business Action Day, on October 19, which will see officers assisting the most frequent victim shops.
In a Facebook post, Winchester Police said: "This week officers will be taking part in a national week of action focusing on business crime. We will be continuing to work with Winchester BID and retailers to provide support to businesses.

"Over the week we will be issuing crime prevention advice to businesses and encouraging shoppers to #ShopKind. On Wednesday we will also be hosting a Safer Business Action Day, which will see officers targeting our most frequent victim stores.
"If your business has been a victim of crime, it is important to report the crime to us. Please call 101 or visit https://orlo.uk/42UB5 to report a crime online.
Look out for further updates in posts across the week."
