A BOUTIQUE music festival has announced it will be returning to a farm near Winchester for the third time.
Mucky Weekender, a two-day music and arts festival near Winchester, has announced it will be going ahead next year with a ‘bigger and better' event on September 8 and 9, 2023.
The small, high-energy festival was back in Vicarage Farm in Woodcott, in September for two days of DJs and live acts such as Dreadzone, Irvine Welsh, Don Letts, Robert Owens, The Hempolics, Eva Lazarus and Altern8, as well as up and coming artists such as; The Shakes, Emily Cappell, Hollie Cook, Too Many T’s and DMC World Champion JFB.
Performer Don Letts said: "Mucky by name mucky by nature - gotta love Barry n’ crew for all they do to make their festival one of the most memorable in the UK & presenting the Rebel Dread with the perfect place for some heavyweight bass!”

The Pirate Ship, a brand-new stage, proved popular as crowds flocked to see Woody Cook, son of Fat Boy Slim and Zoe Ball, on Friday evening.
Woody said: "Mucky Weekender is a mental vibe, it was on my bucket list to play on a pirate ship! The setting, acts and music made it one of my highlights of the year.”
More than 3,000 people attended the event, with the majority camping over the weekend. A minute’s silence was held across all three stages to pay tribute to the Queen who died just a day before.
Following its success, festival curator and Dub Pistols frontman Barry Ashworth has promised a bigger and better event for 2023.
