AN AWARD-winning comedy group is taking to the stage in Winchester as part of their UK tour.
Austentatious, an improvised comedy troupe, has begun a UK wide tour for Autumn 2022.
The tour will conclude at the Theatre Royal in Winchester on November 4 and 5 following performances in Liverpool, Leeds, Nottingham, Newcastle, Birmingham, Bath and Oxford.
Each show the cast creates a brand new ‘lost’ Jane Austen novel based on a title suggested by the audience to produce an improvised story. Previous ‘lost’ masterpieces include 'Crazy Rich Georgians', 'Double 0 Darcy' & 'Game of Scones'.

The regency romp includes self-confident dukes, swooning ladies, and romantic entanglements performing in period costumes with live musical accompaniment.
The autumn tour follows success at the Edinburgh Fringe, residencies in London’s West End and at Leicester Square Theatre and a BBC Radio 4 Christmas special.
Austentatious said: “We are beyond excited (and fanning ourselves profusely) to be setting off on our very own grand tour, and after such a long period of limited society (we can simply not partake in another of Mr Collins’ quiz nights), we cannot wait to finally see our dear friends around the country and laugh, swoon and revel in their most delightful and dashing company.”
