FOUR more alpacas have found their forever-home with an alpaca events business in the South Downs.
Alresford Alpacas welcomed Edwin, Maurice, Desmond and Philip to the furry family in August, having previously been homed by the RSPCA in Stubbington.
The four boys have now taken to hand feeding and become friendlier since arriving at their new home near Alresford. Founder Kerry May got her first alpacas, Colin, Hamish, Winston, Percy and Miguel in January 2021. In addition to picnics and meet and greets the trained alpacas are available to attend weddings, birthday parties and events.

Kerry, 37, said: “We have had amazing feedback from people that have visited us, I mean how could you not like alpacas. They have an amazing way of alleviating stress & anxiety. They just can’t help but make you smile.
“We decided to take on four more boys that needed a home and give them a forever home, where they would be properly cared for. They are all between five to eight years old and haven’t been handled. They aren’t halter trained yet but we are working on this, it will just take time and patience.
“They have settled in with our other five boys so well, they are one big happy family. They have lots of grass, hay is plentiful & they have lots of space to live out the rest of their lives.”
Alresford Alpacas is now preparing for its first ever Halloween event where visitors can come and meet all nine of the alpacas in Ox Drove Way and carve pumpkins among the animals. Sessions are available for £12 per person on October 28 and 29 during the half-term holiday. For more go to alresfordalpacas.com/.
