A PREP school has revealed its autumn event schedule of stories and play for parents, babies, preschoolers and upper school children
Sherborne House School in Chandlers Ford is preparing for a busy calendar of events from baby sessions to the senior schools evening.
Little Steps, running on the last Friday of each month, aims to help young babies develop their senses while providing a place for parents to meet, share ideas and ask questions. Little Steps will start on Friday, November 25, 10-11am.

Tall Tales, Yummy Yarns & Stirring Stories, starting on Friday October 7, are story adventures for pre-school children. Beginning at 10.30am, early years qualified practitioners will lead children in an hour-long session sparking curiosity and exploring the Sherborne House Way. The Tall Tales sessions run on the second Friday of the month. The first, will delve into Hello Autumn by Jo Lindley.
On Wednesday, October 19 children starting reception in September 2023 can attend the school’s first Stay and Play pop-up session. The ‘Stay and Circus’ session, ran by Manic Stage Productions, will take place 9-10am as the first in year of planned experiences to develop the next generation of enquiring minds. Participants will be able to explore a range of circus equipment and build their own story.

Sherborne House’s senior schools evening will be on Tuesday, November 1 from 5–7.30pm. A range of representatives from Alton School, Embley, King Edwards VI, Leehurst Swan School, Meoncross, Portsmouth Grammar School, Portsmouth High School, St Swithun’s, Ryde School, The Gregg and Thornden will be there to tell years four, five and six about their 11 plus options.
