Meon Valley MP Flick Drummond has sworn allegiance to His Majesty King Charles III in the House of Commons.
Flick delivered the oath in Parliament on Wednesday, September 21 holding the Bible following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
She said: “I actually became quite emotional as I read the words because I have sworn allegiance to Her Majesty on several occasions as an MP, a public figure and in my time in the Territorial Army.

“It was a tangible moment for me of the enormous change that has taken place in our country. I wish His Majesty the finest of reigns and my full support.”
The oath says: "I swear by Almighty God that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to His Majesty King Charles III, his heirs and successors, according to law. So help me God."
