A KIDS’ park near Winchester has been set on fire by arsonists.
The incident happened at a children's play park in Pound Road, in Kings Worthy, on Friday, September 23.
Fortunately, the fire was quickly spotted by a man from Basingstoke who was at his friend’s house in Winchester.
Adam Keki said he saw the fire at around 12.30pm when he was about to leave the house.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and doused the fire.
In a video shared by Adam, you can see an equipment being set on fire at the kids’ park.
Adam said: “I was at my mates’ and I was just about to leave.
"Lucky that I left when I did, because I was planning to leave earlier.
"When I opened the front door I saw this blaze and I phoned the emergency services. Luckily they got there in time before it started to spread.
"But the fire still heat damaged a vehicle and the park is all ruined.”
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for more information.
