RUNNERS in this year’s Winchester half-marathon and 10k will be able to get a free post-race massage from the University's physiotherapy students.

Winchester Marafun is returning to the heart of Winchester on Sunday, September 25 with runners able to pick between a hilly 10k or a half-marathon past landmarks such as the King Alfred statue, Winchester Cathedral and St Catherine’s Hill.

The University of Winchester is back as the finish line partner for the fourth time. This marafun weekend, the university is involving its health clinic based at Winchester Sport and Leisure Park.

The clinic allows undergraduate students on the physiotherapy degree programme to work alongside accredited physiotherapy practitioners during placements as part of their studies.
