Two tree stumps have been removed from the side of a busy Winchester road after the dead trees were cut down last month.
The stumps on St George's Street next to the Casson Block, were removed on the morning of Tuesday September 20 and well as the nearby hedges getting a trim.
Disease had taken hold of one of the trees so badly that it was shedding its bark.
The action was taken by Hampshire County Council as the trees are on highways land.
Now, only time will tell to see if new trees will be planted to replace them.
