A GIRL aged 15 faces a string of offences including arson and assaults in Winchester city centre.
The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of 22 charges on dates between August 21-31, a court heard.
She is accused of three arsons in city centre stores on August 31: setting fire to two items of clothing at FatFace on the High Street; a table, chair and clothing at M&S; and a table at McDonald's on St George's Street. The McDonald's charge is arson being reckless whether life is endangered.
The girl faces allegations of 13 assaults, including against three police officers; a racially aggravated assault and two racially aggravated threatening behaviours.
There are three charges of criminal damage including an oven and extractor fan belonging to Winchester City Council and a mannequin at M&S.
The charges relate to incidents in Winchester city centre, Stanmore and Basingstoke.
The girl, appeared at Basingstokes Magistrates Court on Friday September 9, where she was remanded into youth detention to next attend court on October 7.
