AN INDEPENDENT dental practice, in the heart of Romsey, celebrated its first year of new ownership for family, friends and patients.
Saturday, August 20, marked one year since Dr Kevin Hebenton took over Romsey Dental Care in Station Road. To honour the occasion more than 40 family, friends and patients who have supported the practice during a “challenging” first year gathered for a party on the anniversary day.
Before taking the role of principal dentist, Dr Hebenton had been working at the local practice, which opened in 1997, for five years as an associate. This past year, Kevin and his team have been battling the backlog of patients needing care, following the pandemic restrictions.

Practice manager, Laura Coleman said: “Since taking over Dr Hebenton and his team have worked hard to modernise the practice whist keeping that small town community feel. The building was looking a little run down and in need of vital repairs, so whilst there has been some disruption the positive comments from patients have made it all worthwhile, especially the new waiting room chairs which have been a big hit.
“Everyone has worked harder than ever whilst maintaining the high standard of care we have always provided and we’ve welcomed more new patients to the practice than any time in its 25 year history.
“We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all our existing and new patients for your support during our first year, we are so lucky to look after so many lovely patients.
“Moving forward we plan to update the dental surgeries with ultra-modern high-tech chairs to complement our new 5D digital scanner, alongside some minimal structural changes to accommodate a central sterilisation room and our first ever staff room.”
Romsey Dental Care is now accepting new patients. To register, email enquiries@romseydentalcare.co.uk or call 01794 522222.
