LOVERS of locally brewed beer can grab themselves a cut-price pint in familiar surroundings at the opening event of a popular brewery.
Bedlam Brewery is set to welcome punters to the former home of Itchen Valley Brewery in New Alresford after spending time restoring the vaccant site.
Itchen Valley was forced to close its doors after 23 years of trading at the end of 2021 after struggling to stay afloat during the pandemic.
The award winning company sought to raise £50,000 through a crowdfunding appeal to keep the doors open, but ultimately failed to reach its target.

Its replacement, Bedlam Brewery, was established on Albourne Estate winery in 2011 by a group of friends who were then encouraged to start brewing commercially in 2015.
Now in the shadow of the South Downs National Park, the 'socially responsible' brewery puts huge emphasis on cutting the environmental impact of every pint poured.
The team harness solar power, feed the cattle with their spent grain and use hops for compost in a bid to cut the waste from their award-winning tipples.
If you want learn more about the operation, head down to the Prospect Road site on Saturday, September 10. Doors will be open from midday to 8pm, with pints priced at £3.50 each as an opening-day special.
