The Conservative Party's website encourages foreign nationals to join Conservatives Abroad.
The site explains that "You do not need to be a voter or a UK citizen" but promises all successful applicants, amongst other benefits, "a vote in the election of the party leadership".
So, individuals with no ties to this country can help choose our next Prime Minister, a right denied to more than 99 per cent of the UK population. How can this be right?
