A TEAM of firefighters helped a flightless pigeon following a call out to a false alarm.
On the afternoon of August 18, firefighters from Romsey Fire Station attended an Automatic Fire Alarm (AFA) near Romsey, caused by a system fault.

Upon their return to the truck, the local emergency service workers found a pigeon stuck in the road and unable to fly.

The team, who named the bird Gary, contacted a local veterinary which agreed to take care of the pigeon and nurse it back to full health.
