THE home of the Earl and Countess Mountbatten of Burma and their family will be open for to the public for guided tours.
Broadlands house will be open this month for guided tours month from August 13-25 as well as the bank holiday Monday on August 29.
The hour-long tours will cover the cover the ground floors of the house, with gates opening at midday and closing at 5pm.
Richard Jordan-Baker, director of Broadlands House and events public relations (PR) said: “We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to Broadlands later in the month. Tours are of the ground floor rooms of the House, last for approximately an hour and do not require booking. Tours are run on an ad hoc basis with the first at 1230 and the last at 1530.”

The mid Georgian building in Romsey has been home to the family since the assassination of the 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma in 1979.
The English Country house is host to the Romsey show which takes place annually within September.
The show, organised by The Romsey Agricultural & Horse Show Society Ltd, will return on Saturday, September 10 this year.
