A 70-year-old cyclist has died in Bishop's Waltham following a road traffic 'incident'.
The man was found lying on a verge with his bike in Peak Lane, Upham between 6am and 8am on Saturday, August 6.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the cyclist, from Eastleigh, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers have said he had no apparant injuries - so his death is likely to be the a result of a medical episode - but enquiries are ongoing to ascertain the exact circumstances of the incident.
His next of kin have been informed.
Police Constable Adam Sandham, said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, or anyone who witnessed what happened, to contact us as soon as possible.
“We are also keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have dash-cam footage.
“Any information regarding this incident, no matter how insignificant you believe it to be, could be key in establishing the exact circumstances and help aid our investigation.”
