A LONG established motor company has closed its Winchester site.
Picador Vauxhall had a showroom and workshop at Easton Lane Business Park in Winnall, but staff vacated the plot at the end of July.
This comes as former chief executive of the group, Graham Jacobs, who turns 61 this year, took the decision to retire.
Picador's Chandler's Ford and Sholing dealerships have since been sold to Snows Motor Group, but will still remain as Vauxhall showrooms.
However, the Chronicle understands the Winnall unit was not part of that deal and is being sold separately.
A spokesperson for Picador said they don't currently have any information on how that sale is progressing, or who it may be sold to.
They added: "We told all our customers in advance of the change and closed the doors in Winchester at the end of July. We're still open in Chandler's Ford and Sholing where it's kind of business as usual, but we have changed hands from Picador to Snows Group."
