A VEGAN market is due to return to Winchester with a selection of vegan food, cosmetics, clothing and jewellery.
On Saturday, July 30, Middle Brook Street will become home to the Winchester Vegan Market from 10am until 4pm.
Hosted by the Vegan Market Co, the free outdoor event will feature a variety of vegan street food, artisan bakes, craft cheeses, handmade cosmetics, ethical clothing and jewellery, arts and crafts and charity stalls. All created by ethical and sustainable vegan businesses chosen for the market.

Founder Lewis Beresford said: “We are so excited to be back in Winchester. We work hard to find the country’s leading vegan producers, from street food vendors and bakers to ethical clothing and cosmetic producers. We also work with many local businesses and can’t wait to give all of these fantastic producers the platform they deserve and introduce them to the wonderful people of Winchester.”
The company launched its first event back in 2016 with the aim of making veganism accessible and inclusive. The VMCO now covers more than 50 locations across the UK. VMCO made their Winchester debut at the end of April, earlier this year.
Marketing manager, Chloe Hutchings described the market as a "great success".
For each business that takes part in each event, a tree is planted. The market company hope to offset the carbon footprint by supporting tree planting and conservation projects and promoting sustainable lifestyle choices.
