PUPILS at a secondary school in Alresford said goodbye to a long-standing science teacher as she retired at the end of term.
Science teacher Jo Davies retired after teaching at the Perins School in Alresford for just over 33 years.
The former head of department said: “I started teaching in September 1977, the Queen's silver jubilee year and ended at her Platinum jubilee year after 45 years.
"My first job was in an inner-city school in Birmingham - I left there in April 1989, where I joined Perins on the first of April no less.
"So, I have been at Perins 33 years and one term.”
