AN engineering company recently assisted a Romsey pre-school in assembling a climbing frame.
Chatterbox Pre-school, in Halterworth Lane, purchased a new climbing frame with donations raised through sponsorship from multiple sponsored events that the children took part in.
When the climbing frame turned up the pre-school manager was having difficulty getting people to assemble it for them.
Ben Newton, who works for Unitspark, arranged for the company to send engineers to the school to help to assemble it.
Ben said: “My daughter attends the pre-school and when I found out they were struggling to get it built before the end of the school year we arranged for three of our engineers to come to the school and build it for them as a bit of charity work.”
The company specialises in electrical and mechanical engineering. Its Hampshire operation is mainly focussed on Southern Water installing maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment.
