Romsey town centre was full of activity on Tuesday (July 12) for Romsey Carnival's bed race and children's fun run.
The event, which first started around 50 years ago, saw people tackling obstacle courses and using water guns on a sweltering day in The Hundred.
A Romsey Carnival spokesman said: “The obstacle bed race and children's fun run, sponsored by Wheelers Travel, went really well though very wet and for participants and spectators alike.
“The obstacles were two fire appliances, unicorn poo, cream pies, coloured powder, cargo net to name just a few, plus all of the water pistols from all the children spectators.
“Over 50 children running who all received a medal. Ten beds ran the obstacle course and not all of the beds survived the race with wheels on.
“The winners of the bed race were Romsey Post Office who all received an engraved tankard.”
