A TEENAGER from the Meon Valley has been fined hundreds of pounds for driving a VW with a dodgy tyre.
Joshua Jump, of Pricketts Hill, Shedfield, was stopped by police on November 25 on the M4 in Swindon.
The front offside wheel of his car, a Volkswagen Golf, was found to be fitted with a pneumatic tyre which had the ply or cord exposed.

The 19-year-old was charged with use a motor vehicle with tyre with any of the ply/cord exposed contrary to regulation 27(1)(e)) of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, section 41A of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
He was proved guilty under the single justice procedure on May 29 at South East Wiltshire Magistrates' Court.
He was fined £440, and must pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £44 and costs of £90, totalling £574.
His driving licence was endorsed with three points.
