A Winchester man has been fined hundreds of pounds for driving off from a petrol station without paying for his fuel.
Grant Turner, of St Catherines Road, appeared via live link at South East Wiltshire Magistrates' Court on Monday, June 27.
The court heard that on February 8 this year, Turner made off with £80.98 worth of supreme unleaded from a filling station in Salisbury with intent to avoid payment.

He pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined £466 by magistrates. The 49-year-old was also ordered to pay £80.98 in compensation, £85 in costs and a further £47 to fund victim services.
A collection order was made for the total amount of £678.98, which is due to be paid by July 25.
His guilty plea was taken into account when imposing the sentence.
