PLANNING bosses in three villages are set to take action against "inconsiderate" motorists after reports of obstructive parking.
At a meeting next week, councillors will consider putting in place parking orders on eight roads across Bishopstoke, Fair Oak and Horton Heath.
It comes as various roads in these areas have been investigated due to reports of obstructive parking sparking a hunt for a solution.

A consultation was launched on proposed restrictions to stop the issues, and now the orders could be put in to introduce waiting restrictions on Bishops Court, Camelia Grove, Church Road, Longmead Avenue, Rose Close, Shorts Road, Stoke Park Road, and Rogers Road.
A waiting restriction could also be put in on Witt Road, of a reduced length, to exclude the driveway of No 84 and two disabled parking places could be installed in Summerlands Road.
The orders come as councillor Steven Broomfield, who represents Fair Oak and Horton heath has slammed the parking as "obstructive and sometimes anti-social".
He said: "I’m delighted that we are bringing forward traffic orders to Wednesday’s meeting.
"Much of this is connected to the school run, so many of the restrictions proposed will, I hope, be limited to school hours, as it s not the intention to penalise local people having visitors.
"School parking is a real issue at any school, but with the amount of development in Fair Oak and Horton Heath, school catchment areas and pupil numbers have grown hugely over recent years; the result has been a massive rise in the numbers of parents and carers dropping children off."
He added that "inconsiderate parking" creates "huge problems" for residents, bin lorries, delivery drivers and even emergency services.
The costs of the order and road markings are due to be funded from the core Traffic Regulation Order Programme budget as part of the “various roads” allocations.
It is estimated to cost a total of £4,000.
The scheme could also see the introduction of bus ‘cages’ in Shorts Road to support bus movement in line with sustainable transport priorities
Cllr Broomfield added "it’s not all school-related".
"We also have cars being parked at junctions, and by dropped kerbs. Sadly, there seems to be a hard core of motorists who don’t consider other road users. Inconsiderate verge parking is also a problem.

"Personally, I am delighted that the disabled spaces I asked for outside the Summerlands Road shops, following requests from local people, are on the list, as is safer access to Ascot Road in Horton Heath".
The orders will be considered at a Bishopstoke, Fair Oak and Horton Heath Local Area Committee meeting on Wednesday.
