FAMILIES in a Hampshire village came together to take part in a traditional sports day for a good cause.
On June 4, Twyford residents competed in the charity sports day to raise money for the PTA Twyford Playgroup.
Participants gathered at Hunters Park for the event where the red team claimed overall victory.
The sports consisted of different races such as running, egg and spoon, sack and space hopper, wheel barrow and an egg throwing and catching race.

Before sports day, the village also hosted a carnival of floats which processed through Berry Meadows, along Queens Street, up Park Lane and finally into Hunters Park.
The first prize float went to the Corcoran’s for their working flooding of the meadows. Present at the event was conservative councillor for Twyford, Sue Cook.
