Romsey Town Council sent an objection to plans for extensions to a house in Abbotswood.
The planning committee agreed that the plan, for a single story rear and two storey side extension with window, door and external wall material alterations, was inappropriate for the area.
It was submitted by Dan Sheppard for the work to be carried out in Sandy Lane, Abbotswood.
Chairman Cllr John Parker said: “The size and mass of the side wall proposed would have an adverse affect on the amenity of the neighbouring property. It would be out of keeping of the character of the area.”
No other objections have been submitted to Test Valley Borough Council at this stage.
