A FOOTBALL club in Romsey has applied to keep its food kiosk and advertising boards for next season.
Romsey Town Football Club, in Southampton Road, has submitted a retrospective application to retain the food and merchandise stall and six advertisements.
This would be for the next 12 months and was submitted by Bailey Russell.
On the application's planning statement, it said: “The kiosk provides an important facility to both local residents and to drivers and passengers of vehicles using the local road network.
“The proposals also provide employment opportunities for seven local residents.
“There are clearly more than adequate car parking facilities on site.

“There are four sets of advertisement associated with the food and merchandise kiosk to include directional signs and advertisements within the site.”
The club was formed in 1886 and played in local league football with successful spells before joining the Southampton League as founder members in 1908.
They now field teams in both the Premier Division and U23 Division West of the Hampshire Combination & Development Football League.
