HAMPSHIRE bellringers have been in action to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.
Bells were rung in Cheriton, Hursley, Lockerley, New Alresford, Old Alresford, Overton, Romsey, Sparsholt, Tichboune, West Tytherley, Hawkley and Winchester Cathedral.
Full peals, taking over three hours each, were rung at All Saints Church, Hursley and Romsey Abbey.
Hawkley’s peal attempt sadly foundered after 90 minutes of continuous ringing, while quarter peals were successful at Sparsholt and Winchester Cathedral.
