Romsey Abbey C of E Primary School was awash with red, white and blue as staff and children enjoyed early celebrations to mark the Queen's jubilee.
On Friday (May 27) the school's grounds were clad with bunting and decorations which pupils had spent the morning crafting as part of a packed day of festivities.
Amid all the excitement they were even paid a personal visit from Her Majesty herself - albeit a cardboard version of the long-serving monarch.
At lunch, the whole school enjoyed a jubilee picnic while basking in the glorious conditions before heading back inside to brush up on their knowledge of the Queen's reign.
To top off proceedings and signal the end of term, the children put on a special concert for their parents - who were invited to watch them perform at Romsey Abbey. Each year group was assigned a song from one of the seven decades Her Royal Highness has spent on the throne. Among those selected were Yellow Submarine by The Beatles and Thank You for the Music by Abba.

Year six student, Erin, said: "I've really enjoyed the day. We learnt about everything the Queen has done for this country and her characteristics. It was really good to learn about how well she runs this country."
Anaea, a year three pupil, said: "I enjoyed painting the bunting the most. But I also really like the Abbey, it is a wonderful place."
Headteacher, Mark Harris, said: "It was a fantastic day of joyful celebration and there was a real sense of the historic significance and being part of something very special. The celebration service at Romsey Abbey was full of smiles, feel-good songs from across the past 70 years and a nostalgic walk through each decade of the Queen's reign. It was wonderful to join together as a school community with children, staff, parents and grandparents coming together to mark the exciting occasion.
"The cardboard Queen was a guest of honour in school and the children loved showing her around the classrooms and school grounds. The school was awash with red, white and blue and the children worked together to create beautiful Jubilee bunting for our sun-soaked school picnic. Our focus learning habit this half term has been Collaboration and in particular 'Small Role, Big Difference' and it was great to see everyone play their part so wholeheartedly today to make it a truly memorable day. Today will have really helped set in context the Jubilee bank holiday celebrations for all the children."
