Both low and high pressure systems will feature in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight’s weather in the days ahead.
At the time of compiling this forecast, there is a threat of some blustery and possibly very wet conditions on the meteorological cards around the middle of next week as a developing and deepening Atlantic depression tries to steam into the British Isles . However, not all long-range atmospheric computer models agree on how North Atlantic pressure systems will shape up over the next couple of weeks.
But, if this particular depression does materialise, weather fronts associated with it are likely to track across our neck of the woods dumping plenty of rainfall along with gusty winds. Personally, I am predicting plenty of dry and pleasant weather at times interspersed with the occasional showery bursts of rainfall in the mix too and with rising temperatures I would not rule out some thundery activity either. Looking towards Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee extended holiday period, I think the weather will be largely dry and these conditions could well hang around for sometime.
However, a fair amount of cloud is anticipated because the high pressure associated with the dry weather will be sitting to the northwest and northeast of the UK at times.
Temperatures will be around or perhaps a little below average if the wet spell does turn up mid-week but at other times daily maximums will above values expect at this time of the year.
Overnight minimum temperatures will be in single digits generally with mist patches developing around dawn on some mornings.
