WINCHESTER city centre is set to be brought to life by scores of dancers this weekend.
Winchester Mayfest is due to return on Saturday, May 21 for the first celebration since 2019 due to Covid.
The heart of the city will be alive with over 30 dance teams performing different styles including Morris and Appalachian Clog. Bands and buskers will also be playing music throughout the day.
There will be a programme of events in St Lawrence Church alongside dancing at St Maurice's Covert and the Great Hall.
Some of the events on offer give revellers the chance to join in with the festivities, including a stepping workshop and mass dance - presided upon by the newly elected mayor, Councillor Derek Green.
The dancing will start from 10am, with the last group scheduled to finish at 4.30pm.
