Police are hunting two balaclava-clad men who threatened a Swanmore shopkeeper with a crowbar during an early morning robbery at a convenience store.
At around 5.15am on Saturday, April 30, the two men entered Central Convenience Stores in New Road shortly after a member of staff had arrived.
One of the men was carrying the crowbar, which was described as around three foot long, while the other had a large fluorescent Hippo bag.
The crooks threatened the member of staff with the crowbar before going behind the counter and taking cigarettes and alcohol. Both men then went into the office and stole cash and the CCTV hard drive before fleeing down New Road in a vehicle.
The first man is described as being between 5ft 8 to 5ft 10 inches tall, slim, with a southern accent. He was wearing a black balaclava and brown/sand coloured Air Max 95s.
The second man is described as being around 6ft 2 to 6ft 3 inches tall and slim. He also had a southern accent and wore an Under Armour black balaclava.
Officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “Were you in the area? Did you see a car driving down New Road at around the time of the incident?
“Do you have any private CCTV that covers New Road? Perhaps you were driving in the area and have dash-cam footage?
