THE QUEEN’S Platinum Jubilee is fast approaching and city residents are set to celebrate with street parties.
The special occasion will see bank holidays on Thursday, June 2 and Friday, June 3, followed by the weekend, which will see a number of roads within Test Valley close ahead to host celebrations.
Bunting will be hung and cakes baked ahead of the celebratory long weekend in June.
Test Valley Borough Council has received 11 successful applications for closures ahead of the weekend, with some applications still rolling in.

Thursday, June 2
Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Street Party, Romsey - 1pm until 8pm
The Hundred and The Cornmarket in Romsey in their entirety
Saturday, June 4
Jubilee Street Party - Exbury Way and Longstock Close, Andover - 3pm until 9pm - End of Exbury Way up to just past the entrance to Longstock Close.
Queen's Platinum Jubilee Street Party - Nether Wallop - 10am until 6pm - High Street, Nether Wallop
Goodworth Clatford Platinum Jubilee Party - 1.30pm until 6pm - Longstock Road between Barrow Hill and St Annes Close, Goodworth Clatford
Sunday, June 5
Up Somborne’s Jubilee Big Lunch - 9am until 5pm - Section of Strawberry Lane, Up Somborne; between telephone kiosk and just beyond entrance to Recreation Ground
Jubilee “Big Lunch” Street Party - 12pm until 9pm - Nutcher’s Drove, King’s Somborne, SO20 6PA
Queen's Jubilee Street Party - Broughton - 10.30am until 4pm - Broughton High Street, Broughton, SO20 8AE
