Steve Brine MP has appeared as a guest reader on Winchester Talking Newspaper (WTN).
Steve joined a presenter and three other readers at WTN's studio in Winnall Valley Road on Friday, December 8 and participated in the weekly reading and recording of extracts from the Hampshire Chronicle.
In the afternoon, a further team copied the recording onto memory sticks and sent them to the organisation's blind or visually impaired listeners in the Winchester area.
Mr Brine said he was "very impressed" with WTN's work and was pleased to be invited to the new studio, having previously appeared as a guest reader when the service was based in Chesil Street.
After the recording, he said: “As our local MP, I obviously take a keen interest in what our local paper is up to but also what our amazing voluntary sector is doing. The Winchester Talking newspaper brings them both together and is quite simply a brilliant service. I was so pleased to be invited to guest read and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you to everyone involved for all they do.”
